Australian on-demand, last mile delivery company, Sherpa has partnered with global fulfilment automation platform, Starshipit to fast track its offering to the hundreds of retailers already using Starshipit.

With Sherpa’s technology now integrated into the Starshipit platform, retailers have instant access to Sherpa’s service including multiple same-day delivery propositions and live tracking. 

Customers are demanding faster delivery and want to see their goods arrive in real time and that’s what Sherpa does, according to CEO, Duncan Brett.

“They decide how long they want to wait to have the product in their hands and we now know that 80 percent of online shoppers want same-day delivery,” he said.

“This partnership allows Australian retailers to quickly have access to an additional shipping option, and one that is the fastest for their consumers. Starshipit aims to automate fulfillment for retailers with quick integration into existing online platforms like Shopify, Magento and BigCommerce.

The partnership with Starshipit follows a record number of deliveries for Sherpa during Father’s Day weekend with more than 40,000 same day deliveries – an increase of 60% on last year. In particular, technology was the most popular gift with deliveries up 400% on 2020.
