Global absorbent apparel brand, Modibodi has received certification as a B Corp business, recognising its social and environmental impact.

Designed to look and feel like regular underwear but with in-built leak-proof protection, Modibodi’s period-proof underwear and leak-proof ranges are made with sustainable, recycled, premium fabrics for leak-proof luxury.

Modibodi executive director, Kerry Cusack said, “We are thrilled to start our year by announcing that Modibodi has become a ‘Certified B Corp Business’ and with an assessment score that demonstrates our values and focus on continuous improvement to deliver better business for all.

“As category leaders and innovators, Modibodi has redefined leak proof apparel category and created a business built on trust and authenticity, designing sustainable products with the needs of the consumer at their very heart.

“Creating a positive impact is embedded into the products we make, and as a purpose-led business we place people, the planet and the communities we serve at the centre of our decisions.”

The B Corp Certification highlights that Modibodi is meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency on factors from employee benefits to charitable giving. Actions sit under four pillars – Climate Action, Circular Design, Responsible Sourcing and Social Impact.

To gain B Corporation Certification, Modibodi was required to complete the B Impact Assessment, a scorecard measured against its impact on people and the planet, which includes suppliers, charity partners, customers, the environment, local communities and employees.

A company must score at least 80 points across all impact areas to be certified and Modibodi scored 97 points. Businesses must also amend their governing documents to ensure decision-making is inclusive of all stakeholders. Every three years, a company must recertify and be reaudited against the scorecard.
