CouriersPlease

CouriersPlease (CP) has partnered with Westfield and Stockland to offer parcel pickup and returns for online shoppers in 31 shopping centres across the country.

The service will see parcel lockers, called POPStations, installed in 22 Westfield centres and nine Stockland locations in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. To use the service, shoppers redirect their delivery from a CP-partnered retailer to a POPStation after receiving an email or SMS notification that their order is on its way.

CP CEO Mark McGinley said the exclusive partnership will offer Australian shoppers more flexibility and enhance the online shopping experience.

“In our rapidly evolving retail environment, customers and retailers alike are migrating online to meet the growing demand for convenience and choice,” he said. “CP’s partnerships with Westfield and Stockland are helping to evolve goods delivery alongside the changes in retail, and helping consumers combine their enjoyment of online shopping with the bricks-and-mortar retail experience.”

POPStations can also be used to send parcels, with shoppers using the CouriersPlease website to book and pay for the delivery.

CouriersPlease is owned by Singapore Post (SingPost) which, along with operating the Singaporean postal service, is also a leader in ecommerce logistics and operates in 19 markets.

It is also investing in physical retail and recently opened the SingPost Centre, which the company said represents ‘next generation retail’.

The centre is home to the country’s GPO, a large POPStation, retail and food and beverage options.

Mervyn Lim, SingPost deputy group CEO (corporate services), said the centre offers a digital shopping experience in a physical space.

“The launch of SingPost Centre underscores SingPost’s transformation for a future where technology is changing how people shop, dine and play,” he said.

“Tenants of the mall, including our flagship General Post Office, are rolling out state-of-the-art digital innovations, delivering fresh and exciting experiences that will delight consumers.”
