Greener has appointed former Klarna Australia and New Zealand country head, Fran Ereira to its advisory board to hone the business strategy and accelerate partnerships with green retailers.

The Greener app helps people find brands that are better for the planet, then turns their purchase carbon neutral to help end climate change.

Ereira has over 20 years of experience in senior roles at retail and tech companies, including The Walt Disney Company and Sheridan. She was also a senior executive at Zip Co before joining Klarna, responsible for its launch and growth in the region.

Greener co-founder Tom Ferrier said to help people end climate change, the start-up needs to work with advisors and businesses who are genuine about coming together to solve this problem.

“That’s why we are thrilled to have Fran join us. She has a proven track record in the Australian fintech, retail, logistics and ecosystem space. Her wealth of experience and networks will help us accelerate the launch of this green economy to help solve the most pressing problem of our time,” he said.

Speaking on her appointment, Ereira said she joined Greener to help end climate change as the solution created by Tom and Neil enables brands and consumers to clearly measure the impact they are making together.

“Millions of people doing zero carbon imperfectly will have far greater impact than a handful of people doing it perfectly. I am looking forward to seeing how quickly we can together make an impact and grow the Greener economy.”
