Website building and ecommerce platform, Squarespace has launched the first Australian ‘Make It Awards’ designed to support the success of the local community of creators and entrepreneurs. The program provides three emerging businesses with a $30,000 grant and a one-year Squarespace subscription to accelerate their success.

To apply for the ‘Make It Awards’, applicants can submit details about their business including how their work impacts the community and how they plan to use the grant until 3 June, 2022 via www.makeitawards.com.au. Winners will be announced on 18 June, 2022.

The grant, which began in the United States in 2017, is inspired by Squarespace founder and CEO, Anthony Casalena who received a $30,000 investment from his parents to launch the company.

The ‘Make it Awards’ judging panel consists of creatives, entrepreneurs and business leaders including Casalena, Keep It Cleaner co-founder, Stephanie Claire Smith (Miller) and others.

As a major partner of Vivid Ideas, Squarespace will run a series of inspiring talks at the Vivid Ideas Exchange. Hear from leading creatives and business minds behind some of the most coveted local and global brands that make up the judging panel.
