Pinterest has announced a first-of-its-kind partnership with Headspace to coincide with World Mental Health Day on 10 October.

Headspace offers a range of tools for managing stress, increasing positivity, improving sleep and more. Pinterest is the first and only tech platform to provide such an offering.

The partnership invites hundreds of thousands eligible creators to receive a free six-month subscription to Headspace across 20 countries around the world from Brazil to Germany, the US, Japan and Australia.

The effort aims to support creators in staying balanced and integrating wellbeing practices into their everyday lives through Headspace’s library of premium mindfulness content from guided meditations, eyes-open exercises like mindful walks and runs, breathing and wind-down exercises, focus music, sleep content and more.

Headspace chief content and studios officer, Morgan Selzer said, “We found that consumers, now more than ever, widely recognise the importance of safeguarding their emotional and mental wellbeing in this complex world, oftentimes dealing with multiple stressors at once.

“For those who may not know where to begin, Headspace is an excellent resource to help deal with life’s stressors in the moment and also for preventive measures. Our collaboration with Pinterest aims to provide creators with simple and engaging tools that can fit seamlessly into their daily lives and help them feel better.”

Pinterest chief content officer, Malik Ducard added, “It’s no secret that on the internet, Creators often experience burnout and the exhaustion of creation instead of the excitement that comes with it. We’re trying to build a better space for Creators at Pinterest, and as an industry, we believe there’s an opportunity to prioritize inspiring content by prioritizing inspiring Creators.

“That’s why we teamed up with Headspace, a global leader in mindfulness and meditation, as the perfect like-minded partner for this first-of-its-kind offering.”
