Leading business management platform, MYOB has made improvements to MYOB Business and the MYOB Business AccountRight browser experience, with user-friendly terminology, more intuitive navigation, and a new shortcuts feature in the Help section.

The platform update, released to customers using MYOB Business Lite and Pro, and the MYOB Business AccountRight Plus and Premier browser, responds to feedback from small and medium sized enterprise (SME) owners, as well as accountants and bookkeepers.

MYOB general manager for SME, Emma Fawcett said the changes make the adoption of business management technology a less daunting prospect for small business owners and saves accountants and bookkeepers time on onboarding and support.

“Most small business owners don’t chase their dreams because they love doing the books. We want to help them reap the benefits that a business management platform can provide, without having to learn a whole new financial language,” she said.

“Many of our customers, particularly accountants and bookkeepers, are extremely financially literate, but that’s not always the case with small business owners themselves, so we have replaced some of the more technical terms with user-friendly terminology and made it easier for them to use the platform.

“These changes will free up time our accountants and bookkeeping community currently spend on helping their clients navigate the platform, so they can instead focus on providing expert knowledge and guidance. The functionality itself has not changed and the solution continues to offer the best-in-class tools needed to run a small or medium sized business.”

The updates are now live in MYOB Business Lite, MYOB Business Pro, as well as the AccountRight Plus and AccountRight Premier browser apps.
