Singapore’s low-cost airline Scoot will be adopting an upgraded payment service through e-commerce company POLi Payments.

The improved service will take existing POLi Payments service into the cloud with a fully web-based service allowing merchants to accept payments from any connected device such as a smartphone.

The POLi Payment service eliminates credit card fees from online purchases by facilitating payments directly from an internet bank account.

“We are pleased to have signed Scoot as a customer,” said Jeff McAlister, CEO of POLi Payments. “With POLi, Scoot can offer their guests a fee-free alternative to credit cards. Financially savvy consumers, or those without credit cards, will be delighted as they can now transact with Scoot without a credit card.”

With POLi Payments integrated into Scoot’s payment options via its website FlyScoot.com, guests can purchase online and pay instantly.

“By adding POLi Payments to its payment options, Scoot is giving their guests the freedom to pay straight from their own account, rather than using a credit card and incurring the convenience fee charged by banks,” McAlister said.
