Salmat Digital has acquired Magento's ecommerce solutions provider in the Asia Pacific, Netstarter, to complement its existing hybris enterprise solution.

The acquisition will help accelerate Salmat’s ability to support businesses in all stages of their growth journey by leveraging the Magento platform, which is used by more than 200,000 businesses. 

Peter Anson, CEO, Salmat Digital said the acquisition will allow it help businesses deliver a better shopping experience for their customers online and satisfy the demands of complex multichannel environments across all digital channels.

“Many Australian businesses still have no online sales channel and we believe Salmat can be the best strategic partner for these businesses to compete both domestically and globally,” he said.

“Importantly we can support the needs of our clients as they change and our leading service offering will provide a clear migration path that will give them the ability to adjust their ecommerce strategy in accordance with the pace of their growth and online presence.”

Salmat Digital’s has already provided end-to-end experience to clients, such as Lorna Jane, Dick Smith, Breville and The Athletes Foot.
