Leica Camera Australia has partnered with business management software provider Pronto Software after realising it needed a technology platform to help record and retain intelligent data about the company at all times.
As a result, Pronto Software’s cloud based enterprise resource planning (ERP) and business intelligence (BI) software were integrated into Leica Camera’s systems.
“Since Leica Camera Australia was established in early 2013, the need to implement an intelligent business management solution was integral from my perspective,” said Leica Camera Australian general manager Ryan Williams.
“We needed a technology platform that provided comprehensive BI reporting functionality, providing clarity and visibility across key operations at all times.”
As part of the system, all the data is stored in Australia, providing enhanced data confidentiality and security. At the same time, all staff now have instant access to the operations of the business – from stock availability to incoming orders.
“The technology enables the business to run more seamlessly, enabling us to make informed decisions on the go. It has also streamlined the reporting process back to our headquarters in Germany,” Williams said.
According to Williams, there was also little hindrance to the business during implementation.
“We had a very short deadline for implementation, yet Pronto were able to prioritise the project and act decisively in order to meet our ‘go live’ date. Any and all minor hiccups were dealt with swiftly.”
