Getprice has relaunched its mobile application to put the power of shopping comparison in the palm of the consumers’ hands.
The new iPhone app features a barcode scanner that allows shoppers to scan a product’s barcode and instantly compare retailer offers.
Other features of the Getprice app also enable shoppers to view detailed reviews of stores and sellers, identify local offers within a 20km radius, check inventory levels of a local store and share any product offers via social networks.
Director of product and marketing for Getprice, David Whiteman, said the development of the new app was driven by a rapidly changing shopping landscape.
“Mobile shopping is an enormous growth area thanks to the overwhelming adoption of powerful, fast smart-phones. It is commonplace to see shoppers using iPhones in-store to search for product data and pricing and then using that information to negotiate a deal with retailers,” he said.
Popular categories featured on the Getprice shopping app include cameras, laptops, appliances, televisions, furniture, toys, and fashion accessories.
