Telstra has released its newest invention in mobile phone technology, Next G network, available at Fone Zone stores across Australia.

This network allows the user to access the Internet, make and receive video calls, send and receive emails, watch Mobile TV, download music as well as standard voice calls and text messaging.

The network covers over 98% of the population in both city and country areas and Telstra plans to expand Next G services, proposing that it will triple its current speeds by early 2007.

Next G offers the ability to access the Internet and corporate networks via PC cards, and also modems connected to laptops or PDA’s when available.

Plus, with the activation of international roaming, the user can access voice and SMS mobile services in more than 140 countries or make video calls from almost 30 of these localities.
