Coles Express has deployed an integrated software suite from Retalix at its headquarters and its 625 convenience and shell-braded fuel stores across the country.
This comes after the pilot went live in October 2011 and the company now plans for a full rollout for 2012.
Peter Short, Coles Express general manager, said the deployment of the software solutions represent a change its business operations.
“Using Retalix software we benefit from more streamlined and efficient sales and operations, as well as optimised inventory forecasting and improved item availability. Witnessing the extensive Retalix solutions in action, we are positive that our team can now run the business more efficiently and significantly enhance our customer service,” he said.
The Retalix store solutions that have been installed includes a point of sale, back office, fuel and handheld software applications. These solutions are integrated with the enterprise-level Retalix HQ management, demand driven replenishment and loyalty solutions, enabling Coles Express to centrally manage item catalogue, pricing, promotional offers, customer loyalty, inventory, wet stock and store ordering.
The Retalix loyalty system also enables the Coles group to cross-promotions between its supermarkets and Coles Express brands.
According to Ronen Levkovich, president of Retalix’s international business unit, the solutions will help Coles elevate its customer service and chain efficiencies.
“We are pleased to partner with this advanced retailer as Retalix continues to grow its local presence across Australia. We are confident that Retalix’s extensive solution offering will enable Coles Express to enjoy the full power of seamlessly integrated retail technology,” he said.
