The new eco-friendly Artoleum flooring collection from Forbo received the Best Stand Award (70m or over) for their display at the recent designEx in Melbourne.

The display reinforced its use of environmentally sound renewable raw materials in a specially created setting that used the theme of a scene in nature.

"The stand showcased both conceptually and literally how Forbo is creating better environments," says Edie Nyers, marketing manager for Forbo.

"Using the theme of a scene in nature, or diorama, we were able to reinforce the natural and sustainable aspects of the new Artoleum and Forbo's other linoleum collections."

Artoleum is used for commercial and residential flooring applications and is environmentally sound for its full lifecycle – from its base ingredients, manufacturing process, maintenance and its end of life.

The stand recreated a natural environment of leafy trees and inviting shades from a rainbow that reflected the many colours in the Artoleum collection.

“The stand’s use of a colourful diorama made entirely of Forbo product made the environmental message crystal clear,” says Melbourne firm Exponential Design, leaders in exhibition and retail design.

Criteria used for the Best Stand Award included visual impact and design innovation, lighting, flooring and wall finishes, signage, stand layout and product to space ratio.
