Leading office furniture company, Steelcase, has introduced its Series 2 office chair with innovative technology offering state-of-the-art seating ergonomics, which is now available on its new online Australian store.

The online store offers local consumers direct access to a range of the company’s ergonomically designed products for the first time.

Steelcase Series 2’s Air LiveBack technology works through an innovative geometric design that provides support for each part of the spine. Breathable and transparent, the specially engineered wave pattern is scaled to flex in two dimensions as the body moves, to create responsive, personalised comfort and fit.

Steelcase’s Series 2 has a slim profile and lean aesthetic, suitable for any home interior. The chair’s height-adjustable lumbar support, responsive back tension, 4D adjustable arms, and adaptive seat bolstering ensure ongoing comfort and ergonomic support.

Steelcase Asia Pacific vice president for global client collaboration, Jason Taper says consumers need to prepare their homes for permanent working from home arrangements in 2021.

“The pandemic has brought on a work life evolution to Australia, with a mix of onsite and remote working. The new year presents an ideal time to upgrade home offices and ensure furniture encourages wellness, movement, and continuous support,” he said.

“An ergonomic office chair, like the Steelcase Series 2, forms the basis of a comfortable home office that will be conducive to productivity and good health. Steelcase wants to see Australians start the new year with the best tools possible for their full workloads and flexible work arrangements.”
