MyDeal EOFY sales

Australian online marketplace MyDeal has partnered with ZipPay and Cash Rewards to launch a new end of financial year (EOFY) sales initiative to boost consumer spending.

Australia’s Night Online will be hosted on MyDeal.com.au on 26 June and will feature discounts from MyDeal sellers and Australian retailers who will be promoting a sale on their own websites.

Rakuten Marketing will facilitate the advertising space during the event for retailers not participating through the marketplace, while promotional partners Cash Rewards, Houzz, ZipPay, and Compare and Connect will support the event to drive traffic.

MyDeal CEO Sean Senvirtne said hosting sales events was a proven concept for the marketplace, which was named the most visited online retailer during last year’s Click Frenzy.

“We are always looking for opportunities for our retailers to improve their sales and reach more consumers, so we felt hosting our own sales event would be a great fit,” Senvirtne told RetailBiz.

“We have identified that hosting sales events on MyDeal.com.au does incentivise sellers to offer competitive pricing. It is a proven concept for us which we have established over the past few years.

“The intention of this event has always been to provide a boost to marketplace sellers and provide value for our customers.”

Participating retailers include SurfStitch, Microsoft, Nasty Gal, The Iconic, Millers and HP. The retailers will offer discounts on popular items including iPhones and Surface Pros, as well as commercial products such as office furniture, computers and office supplies, which consumers will be looking to purchase before the end of the financial year.

“Retailers will be providing discounts on their current bestsellers and discounts on office products if they have business targeted inventor,” said Senvirtne.

Interested retailers can gain access to the event through a MyDeal marketplace listing or participate via affiliate networks including Rakuten Marketing, Commission Factory and Performance Horizon.
