Leading global retail bank, payments and shopping service, Klarna has welcomed Katrina Ang as marketing director for Australia and New Zealand.

Most recently, Ang was marketing director at Zip Co, and prior to her time with Zip, she worked in several management roles for Scentre Group and Westfield.

With over 15 years of experience, Ang will be responsible for building on the global success of the Klarna brand, which is the payment and shopping service leader in Europe and is experiencing massive growth in the US, where it ranks among the 10 most downloaded shopping apps.

She will be responsible for creating engaging brand activations for consumers and partners, in line with Klarna’s promise to elevate the entire shopping experience.  

Klarna chief expansion officer, Camilla Giesecke said Australia is a key market with significant traction since launch with nearly one million users turning to Klarna for flexible and interest-free payment options and seamless and convenient shopping experience.
