ebay.com.au has launched its first-ever month-long shopping event, eBay Plus Month, offering savings on essentials and free express delivery on millions of eBay Plus items.
Exclusive to eBay Plus members and previously known as Plus Weekend, eBay Plus Month will introduce a new deal every day throughout June with savings of up to 80%.
Items have been selected using eBay data on what Australians have been commonly searching for and buying during isolation. This includes Apple AirPods, Nintendo Switch Neon and air fryer, following spikes in headphones (31%), gaming consoles (221%) and kitchen appliances (60%).
In addition to the exclusive deals, eBay Plus members will benefit from ‘spend and save’ offers between now and June 14, including spend $100, save $10; spend $500, save $50 and spend $2,000 and save $200. From June 15, there will be 20% off select eBay Plus items.
eBay Australia’s Sophie Onikul said, “We’re excited to extend our previous Plus Weekend to a full month of savings with eBay Plus Month. People are shopping differently right now, prioritising purchases of the things they really need from tech to everyday essentials.
“We’ve also seen less time spent browsing the site with shoppers more decisive and planned in their purchases. It’s important that we deliver our 11-million unique monthly visitors the best discounts on the items we know are in demand.”
eBay will also roll out free express delivery on millions of eBay Plus items for eBay Plus members in metro areas. Metro-based eBay Plus members will have orders automatically upgraded to express delivery on millions of eBay Plus listings.
“Our aim is to get items into buyers’ hands as quickly as possible so they can enjoy them. Recent research shows reliable delivery is more important than ever right now with it second only to free delivery”8, Onikul added.
For just $49 for 12 months, eBay Plus members benefit from free express delivery, free returns and access to exclusive deals.
