More than 300 of the country’s leading retailers – including Myer, Retravision, Fletcher
Jones and Bendon Apparel – are partnering with Australian website whatsonsale.com.au to offer consumers the opportunity to buy premium products at sale prices.

The first of its kind in Australia, whatsonsale.com.au compiles, on a daily basis, all the current sales being conducted by leading retailers, so shoppers can jump online to find out where the savings are, every day, and before they step outside the door.

The site is the brainchild of Aussie entrepreneur Pat Walsh, who says the portal is fast becoming popular with retailers and consumers.

"During these gloomy economic conditions, retailers may be opting to have more sales to help move product, but the cost to retailers of marketing these sales and absorbing lower margins, will put further pressure on their already-stretched marketing dollar," explains Walsh.

"We know, from feedback, that our site is a welcome relief for many retailers due to the small costs involved. whatsonsale.com.au gives them a cost-effective way of promoting their products through exclusive sales and special offers – it enables retailers to reach cautious consumers, who are also cash-strapped and looking for sale items on premium products."

whatsonsale.com.au expects to feature sales and exclusive offers from 1000+ retailers by Christmas 2009.
