AMP Capital Shopping Centres (AMPCSC) has launched a free e-commerce platform exclusive to its bricks and mortar retailers.

Named AMP Capital Shopping Centres eMall, the platform will enable shoppers to click through directly from an AMPCSC centre website to a specific retailer’s e-commerce site to purchase products easily and securely online.

The eMall has been designed to target shoppers while they are researching online; increase customer familiarity with a retailer’s products before they go in-store; and generate direct traffic to a retailer’s website.

Stuart Langeveldt, head of marketing & communication for AMP Capital Shopping Centres, said eMall is designed as a service to support its retailers by providing another touchpoint for consumers as part of the growing multi-channel shopping environment.

“By offering this free service we are assisting our retailers to meet the needs of connected consumers now and in the future. Our aim is to also help our retailers with revenue building by attracting a wider base of customers who already visit our websites,” he said.

“In the current tough sales environment, we’re excited to be able to roll out this new eCommerce platform to our retailers across the country.”

The platform will be rolled out across seven AMPCSC centres around the country: Pacific Fair (QLD), Mt Ommaney Centre (QLD), Macquarie Centre (NSW), Warringah Mall (NSW), Knox Shopping Centre (VIC), Garden City Booragoon (WA) and Karrinyup Shopping Centre (WA).

Lowes, Diva, Betts and Darrell Lea will be the first stores to take up eMall
