WOW Sight and Sound released a statement today about the company’s association with the Brisbane Broncos after several of its players, including captain Darren Lockyer and Australian fullback Karmichael Hunt were implicated in an incident, which is still under investigation.
“We are aware of the incident as it has been reported by the media and we will make an informed decision once the facts surrounding the matter are clear,” said WOW Sight & Sound managing director Sam Savvas.
“The Broncos are a great team and we’re looking forward to an exciting game against Melbourne Storm on Saturday.”
Savvas revealed the company was not in a position to make comment until the current investigation was resolved and said the electronics and entertainment retailer supported the investigations currently underway by the QLD police and the Brisbane Broncos management.
WOW Sight & Sound is the principal partner and naming sponsor of the Broncos and also sponsors Queensland Roar, V8 Super Cars, Cairns’ Taipans Basketball Team and Australia Zoo.
