Wow continues expansion with opening of 14th store

Queensland-based retail group Wow is continuing its expansion and has opened another store, which is its fifth in Brisbane and 14^th in total.

 

WOW Sight & Sound’s director of retail Con Nicolas said the Oxley store would be a major boost for the local area, providing many new job opportunities for locals.

 

“We’ve employed approximately 50 local full-time and part-time staff who have undergone extensive training to enhance them as electronics specialists,” he said.

 

“It’s a vital requirement that our team members are knowledgeable about  the latest electronics products we stock in order to help our customers make the right buying decision on the right product to suit their individual lifestyle needs.”

 

The store will sell Oxley’s widest range of the latest electronics and entertainment and is designed like all WOW stores, said Nicolas.

 

The retailer currently has 14 stores throughout Australia with a number of other superstores in various stages of planning and approval stages. WOW Sight and Sound is also a sponsor of the WOW Brisbane Broncos, WOW V8 Racing, Australia Zoo and Brisbane Roar.

 

The new WOW store is located at The Zone Oxley Centre, 2118 Ipswich Road, Brisbane.
