Hamilton Harbour is on its way to becoming Brisbane’s best new retail, dining and lifestyle destination with Woolworths signing on as key anchor tenant.
“Hamilton Harbour is home to a mix of singles, couples and families and many were drawn to the convenience of shopping and dining on their doorstep, making it an ideal match for retailers like Woolworths,” says Hamilton Harbour project director John Campbell.
“Boutique precincts that can provide a superior shopping experience in a highly attractive and localised shopping environment are increasingly popular with customers.”
Woolworths has signed a 12-year lease on 1126 square metres of prime retail space at the riverside location and will move into the precinct in 2013.
“We are always looking for opportunities to tailor the right offer to our customers and we believe we will be able to offer customers in Hamilton Harbour convenience and choice,” says Woolworths property manager Sean Wallington.
“The Hamilton Harbour store will provide customers with opportunities for top-up shopping along with ready-made meals and other selections that will cater to local shoppers’ needs.”
Hamilton Harbour offers 5,000 square metres of prime retail space, with many retailers attracted to the modern boulevard feel of the precinct and its prime location.
“With the added bonuses of easy access from Kingsford Smith Drive and Brisbane River, public transport links and a four level basement carpark, Hamilton Harbour is an attractive choice for retailers and we hope to announce more tenants soon,” adds Campbell.
The opening of the new retail hub will also coincide with the completion of the KSD commercial precinct and Hamilton Harbour’s third and final residential tower, the 20-level Riverside Hamilton.
