A new shopping centre at Frasers Property Australia’s The Grove community in Tarneit in Melbourne’s west will see Woolworths as the anchoring supermarket tenant.

The Grove retail centre comprising two sections divided by Bethany Road will be linked by a pedestrian crossing and reserve. The retail section will feature a full-sized 4,000 square metre Woolworths supermarket in addition to more than 20 retail outlets across a further 4,000 square metre centre that includes a bakery, greengrocer, nail bar, pizza restaurant, Chemist Warehouse outlet and Anytime Fitness gym.

Facing the retail precinct across Bethany Road will be a learn-to-swim school, Hungry Jacks fast food outlet, service station and car wash. There will be 260 car spaces for the retail precinct, and additional 60 spaces to service the swim school and adjacent tenants.

Frasers Property Australia general manager development Victoria, Sarah Bloom said with a range of communities and facilities at The Grove already complete, the new retail centre will be the final jewel in the community’s crown.

“The Grove residents already enjoy easy access to schools, parks, playgrounds and wetlands within their community, and now the final piece of the convenience puzzle will slot into place with this new retail precinct,” she said.

Empire Properties will develop, construct and manage the new shopping centre on the adjacent site it purchased from Frasers Property in 2020.

Construction is set to begin in mid-2024 and is expected to take two years to complete.
