Westfield Garden City at Mt Gravatt in Brisbane will be undergoing a $400 million redevelopment.
Jointly owned by Westfield Retail Trust and Westfield Group, Garden City currently comprises of approximately 98,600 square metres of gross lettable area and includes a David Jones, Harvey Norman, Coles, Kmart, Big W, Woolworths and a Birch Carroll and Coyle cinema complex.
The $400 million project will increase the centre by approximately 400,000 square metres to a total a total of approximately 140,000 square metres of gross lettable area. The redevelopment of the centre will include a full line Myer department store, a new Target store and over 100 new specialty retailers, as well as a creation of a new dining precinct.
The project is expected to be completed in Q4 2012.
