An online retailer is facing legal proceedings instituted by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
The consumer watchdog alleges that from at least June 2010 Marksun Australia represented on various websites its ugg boots were made in Australia when ithey were in fact made in China.
The retailer sells and promotes its products through www.makrsunboots.com.au, www.uwww.uggbootsonsale.com.au, and www.uggbootsoutlet.com.au.
The matter has been filed in Federal Court’s fast track list and is scheduled for conference in Perth on 2 February 2011.
