Target’s Aussie Biggest Toy Sale ad campaign has been shortlisted for a major award at the 2009 World Retail Awards.

Target will go compete for the Retail Advertising Award for Traditional Media with several other retailers including Morrisons ‘Fresh Choice for You’ in the UK; Macy’s ‘Believe’ and Payless ShoeSource’s ‘Heart Shoes Campaign’ in the US; Pick n Pay’s ‘Brand Relaunch Campaign’ in South Africa; Target’s ‘Biggest Toy Sale’ in Australia; Burger King’s ‘Toll This’ in New Zealand and Ricardo Eletro’s ‘Only Ricardo Eletro is original’ in Brazil.

Other categories at the awards include Responsible Retailer of the Year, Retail Design of the Year, Emerging Market Retailer of the Year, Retail Advertising Award (in-store, direct marketing, digital) and Etailer of the Year.

Now in its third year, the 2009 World Retail Awards are held during the World Retail Congress in Barcelona and take place at the Museum Nacional d’Art de Catalunya on 7 May 2009.
