The independent Sunlite Mitre 10 Group is set to open its fourth retail store in the former Isenberg’s Hardware site on Paddington’s Oxford Street, unveiling the results of a major refit of the property when it opens its doors on Monday 27 July.
The revitalised site, covering 400sqm over two extensive floors, is the first of several major investments planned for Paddington’s shopping precinct this year, with hospitality business Merivale and established local retailer OPUS set to expand into the area.
Managing director of Sunlite Mitre 10 Steven Czeiger says that as a proudly independent and family-run group, it's a very exciting time for Sunlite Hardware.
“We're thrilled to be expanding into our fourth Sydney property to offer Paddington and the surrounding area the award-winning level of service, expertise and product ranging that we've been able to build up since 1987,” he says.
“At a time when price wars and independent shopping dominate retail headlines, we’re proud to be an example of how our customer experience has been able to set us apart from larger competitors. Not only will the store breathe new life into the Oxford Street shopping precinct, but will encapsulate our passion and dedication to providing a one-stop shopping hardware experience that no other hardware store can match.”
Additional Sunlite Mite 10 stores include Bondi Junction, Pitt Street and York Street.
