With its extensive availability of research and industry partnerships, Deakin Graduate School of Business at Deakin University has developed tertiary qualifications for the retail industry sector.

The Deakin Graduate School of Business now offers a range of postgraduate qualifications relevant to the retail industry. These include a Graduate Certificate of Retail Management as well as an MBA, MBA International and a Master of Commerce with retail specialisation options.

“This innovative qualification aims to develop the skills and knowledge of retail professionals and introduce a new standard of retail professionalisation to the industry through leading edge resources, expert faculty and dynamic and flexible learning methods,” the university said.

As part of the Graduate Certificate of Retail Management, four areas of expertise are covered: retailing, marketing management, merchandise management and an elective unit, which can range from online marketing to human resources management.

To qualify for the Graduate Certificate of Retail Management, students will need either a three year undergraduate degree, or have five years relevant management work experience, or possess a combination of relevant training and qualifications and work experience.
