The Wardrobe Store.com, a recycled designer boutique, has launched today with a collection of over 4000 stock items guaranteed to rival the best recycled designer stores in New York including Fendi, Chloe, Sergio Rossi, Chanel, Prada, Armani, Dolce & Gabbana lining the walls.

The Wardrobestore.com carries a wide selection of preloved designer treasures for women, men, children, plus a limited collection of kitschy vintage ideal to mix with high end labels such as Manolo Blahnik shoes starting at $165, Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo starting from $299.

The Wardrobestore.com is the brainchild of marketing strategists Liz Courtney and Tonia Port who – frustrated with the lack of facilities to channel their business attire and evening dresses – came up with the idea of creating a dedicated fashion destination, to allow money to be earned and good quality clothes to be bought and sold with ease.

Three months ago they launched the online side of the business www.thewardrobestore.com which has received over 800,000 page impressions, over 80,000 visits, and an average spend of 9.5 mins per visit on the site.

Overwhelmed with the response to their business and the enormous volume of designer brands arriving everyday at the warehouse, Courtney and Port decided to extend the business model to incorporate a retail front.

“We have noticed a change in attitude to the term recycled with more and more consumers adopting our new term preloved and wearing it like a badge of honour knowing they have saved money, grab an amazing bargain, shopped wisely, and earned extra cash,” said Courtney.

“We plan to roll out a series of The Wardrobestore.com stores around Australia over the next 12 months, to make designer brands affordable, accessible and within arm’s reach of the thousands of Carrie Bradshaws in Australia who want their little piece of New York High fashion at a fraction of the price.”

The Wardrobestore.com is situated at 127 York Street, Sydney (opposite the Queen Victoria building) and opens today.
