Australia’s very own version of Cyber Monday is making a return again, but this time with additional retailers on 19 November 2013 at 7pm AEST.

Click Frenzy this year will see over 300 participating retailers offering savings on over 500 brands. Co-founder Grant Arnott also said this year the site will run on an improved online platform to avoid any technical glitches that was experienced last year.

“Customers can feel comforted knowing the site’s technicalities have been improved since the infamous crash in 2012,” he said. Pre-subscribers also have an opportunity to avoid the cyberspace stampede with the early bird access.”

Based on last year’s results, there were nearly two million queries in the first minute; there were 1.6 million total unique visits and 22 million page views in 24 hours.

“We’re absolutely going to show shoppers what Australian online shopping is all about,” Arnott said.

“The deals are amazing, and after last year everyone knows what to expect and, most importantly, what Aussie shoppers expect – amazing prices, a great website and quality customer service, including fast delivery.”

One of the top searched brands last year was Myer and the department giant will be making a return for Click Frenzy this year too.

“Myer is excited to be part of Click Frenzy again this year, which is another way for us to interact with our customers. Our online sales are continuing to grow rapidly, more than doubling over the past twelve months. Online shopping events like Click Frenzy are great for increasing awareness about the growth of domestic online retailers,” a Myer spokesperson said.

“We have recently made a number of significant improvements to our online store and supporting infrastructure including updating our order management system and opening a dedicated online fulfilment centre which will make it easier for customers to receive some of our best selling items.”

Meanwhile, there others such as Luxottica’s Sunglass Hut who will be joining Click Frenzy for the first time.

“Sunglass Hut is excited to be participating in Click Frenzy for 2014. We have just launched our eCommerce site a couple of months ago and are looking forward to seeing the impact that participating in Click Frenzy will have in driving sales in the lead up to Christmas,” said Luxottica, Sunglass Hut, eCommerce manager, Kasie Westle.

“Despite some of the issues that occurred last year, all of the ecommerce retailers I spoke with that participated in 2013 were very happy with the results that they saw through the Click Frenzy promotion.

“My counterparts at Sunglass Hut in the US see huge spikes in sales in the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales and I’m hoping that we will see similar lifts here in Australia with Click Frenzy.”
