LAS VEGAS, USA: Following the success of its investment in the 3D epic Avatar, which has generated over $1 billion in just 17 days, Panasonic has announced it will be releasing a twin lens camcorder this year.
The camcorder was released at the Panasonic press conference in Las Vegas today.
Panasonic has also launched a Full HD 3D Viera Home Theatre systems and announced an alliance with DirecTV in the US including the broadcast of the All Star game on Fox Sports.
With this distribution alliance, Panasonic claims it is only end-to-end provider of Full HD 3D as a manufacturer of cameras, flat panel displays as well as authoring and duplication equipment.
Panasonic has announced it will show the first ever Live 3D broadcast with DirecTV on its stand at the show tomorrow.
The other major announcement at the press conference was a live demonstration of the company’s HD Communications System by Panasonic’s president Fumio Ohtsubo from Osaka. The product, which will be launched in April, is designed to make video conferencing more affordable.
