Officeworks’ strong performance continues, with the company delivering an eight per cent rise in sales to $403 million for the first quarter FY15.

This strong sales growth follows the record result for FY14 when the company reported a 10.8 per cent boost in earnings to $103 million. 

Officeworks Managing Director Mark Ward attributes the strong performance to the company’s ‘every channel’ approach which aims to provide customers with a seamless shopping experience. 

“Sales are up in store and online which is testament to the success of Officeworks’ ‘every channel’ strategy.

“We want to ensure customers can choose to shop whenever, wherever and however they want so we’ve improved our offer across all channels and that’s really paying off,” he said.

New dedicated online and customer experience teams and Officeworks’ focus on providing inspirational products and innovative services are helping to drive strong results for Australia’s leading supplier of stationery and office products. 

Officeworks’ strategy to deliver fresh and compelling merchandise for customers is creating significant momentum in the business. The recent unveiling of Officeworks’ style led ranging initiatives, including new furniture, technology accessories and fashion stationery, is the latest example of how the company is responding to growing consumer demand for more personalised, fashionable office supplies. 

“We’re happy with the response to our new style led ranges and have more great merchandise initiatives in the pipeline for the remainder of this financial year which should continue to excite our customers and help drive further growth,” said Mr Ward.  

Rolling out refreshed in-store layouts to enhance customers’ shopping experience, as well as expanded ranging throughout the store network are just some of the many merchandising initiatives Officeworks currently has underway.
