The Face of Myer, Jennifer Hawkins, will make a special appearance at the opening of the new Myer Hobart in Liverpool St this Thursday, 26 November.
Myer will conduct a ribbon cutting to celebrate the official opening of the new store at 9am. The official group taking part in the ribbon cutting will be: The Face of Myer, Jennifer Hawkins; Myer Chief Merchandise and Marketing Officer, Deputy CEO, Daniel Bracken; Myer Hobart Store Manager, Peter Monachetti; Lord Mayor of Hobart, Alderman Sue Hickey and Alexia and Emmanuel Kalis, representing property developer E Kalis Properties Pty Ltd.
To celebrate Jennifer’s appearance in Hobart, Myer will host a full day of celebrations for local customers.
Jennifer will also take part in a Q&A onstage at 12 noon and afterwards customers will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with Jennifer.
Fashion Masterclasses with Myer Designer, Wayne Cooper will give Myer Hobart customers a first-hand insight into the latest summer trends and key looks for the season. A series of six Pop-Up Fashion Parades will also take place across opening day on the fashion floors showcasing new brands and the latest summer collections.
In addition to the Pop-up Fashion Parades, the day’s festivities will also include entertainment for the whole family, including a live DJ spinning the latest tunes from 10am to 4pm in the Basement, a performance by The Voice 2014 Finalist, Matthew Garwood, and a meet and greet with Masterchef finalist, Ben Milbourne.
For the kids there will be colouring-in, face painting, balloon giveaways, appearances by popular children’s characters Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Minions and Lalaloopsy and free treats including popcorn and fairy floss.
