Retail Adventures has appointed David Young as its new chief executive officer (CEO).
 
Executive chairman Jan Cameron said Young is a highly regarded executive with deep retail experience and insights, proven strategic capabilities and strong marketing credentials.
 
“With the company poised to move to its next level, David is the right person to now lead Retail Adventures through that next phase of growth,” she said.
 
Young has over 30 years of strong local and international retail experience spanning Australasia and five countries with companies that have enabled him to gain exceptional executive experience across an enormous width of businesses in senior management roles.
 
David spent over a decade with Target in Australia in senior operational and buying roles. He then spent 10 years with Dairy Farm International, in operational leadership roles in Hong Kong and China, for both the supermarket and convenience store businesses.
 
He was also the deputy director of Dairy Farm South Asia and then group managing director and CEO of Australian Pharmaceutical Industries.
 
Young said he was looking forward to joining the team at Retail Adventures.

Young starts his new role on Monday 28 June.
