National franchise group BSR Australia Limited today announced it will open a new Betta Electrical Superstore in Geelong, boosting its number of stores in Victoria to 23.
The 1000m² store, located at Pakington Street in Geelong West, is scheduled to open on 15 February 15 and marks Betta Electrical’s return to the area after a three-year absence.
“An established regional centre such as Geelong is the ideal place for a Betta Electrical outlet and BSR Group is looking forward to working with Mr Sun to provide the best electrical products, range and service to the local community.”
Store franchisee Matthew Sun said he wanted to build upon the strong brand recognition that Betta Electrical enjoys in the state.
“Shoppers in Geelong have not had access to a Betta Electrical store for several years.
“There was a clear gap in the market and, despite its recent absence, Betta Electrical still enjoyed an excellent reputation and recognition.
My staff and I are looking forward to re-launching the brand in the area and making Betta Electrical Geelong the leading electrical goods retailer in Victoria,” he added.
Sun said BSR’s marketing and brand support was a perfect match for retailers.
“Under the BSR structure, I not only have a recognised and respected brand behind me but I also have freedom to grow the business,” he said.

Betta Electrical Geelong will hold sales across its entire product range to celebrate its grand opening. It will also host a free sausage sizzle, prize giveaways and on-site broadcasts from local radio stations K-Rock and Bay FM.
