Despite the disappointing financial results, Myer proceeds to open new stores with the latest addition being its Fountain Gate store at Fountain Gate Westfield Shopping Centre in Victoria.
“The new Myer store at Fountain Gate incorporates a wide range of merchandise and will provide an inspirational and exciting shopping environment,” Myer CEO Bernie Brookes said.
“I am sure that the local community will welcome Myer with the same enthusiasm as Victorians have embraced Myer for many years. The store is set to give customers the opportunity to experience a whole new way of shopping at Myer,”
The new Myer store will provide customers with a range of national and Myer Exclusive Brands across a variety of categories including women’s and men’s apparel, cosmetics, homewares, intimate apparel, electrical, footwear and accessories, small appliances, childrenswear and youth.
The 12,000 square metre two-level store will be the anchor store to what will be Australia’s second largest shopping centre and the largest in Westfield's Australian portfolio on completion. The centre also features BIG W, Kmart, Target, Safeway, Coles and 285 specialty shops.
