After announcing that it was going to introduce a clothes and accessories line to its supermarkets back in August, Coles has finally launched the MIX collection in time for summer.
Over 50 Coles stores nationwide will house a ‘store within a store’ section of the supermarket where the MIX items will be sold.
The initial range caters primarily for the female customer, with a selection of men’s items and children’s pieces planned for future collections. The Spring MIX collection includes block colours, neutral shades, prints and stripes and will all be priced under $40.
According to Coles, the range will be refreshed every two weeks throughout the season to ensure regular shoppers will always have something new to look at.
“Supermarket clothing collections have proved a huge success overseas, and Coles continues to be the first to market by bringing the modern, budget-safe concept to Australian consumers,” Coles said in a statement.
Coles engaged Canadian designer Joseph Mimran to create the MIX range; Joseph and his team are pioneers of supermarket fashion, creating apparel for Loblaw’s stores, Canada.
