Bunnings may have sausage sizzle stands outside its doors but Masters Home Improvement will have whiffs of French fries, Big Mac’s and cheeseburgers coming from within its stores.

As part of an agreement, McDonald’s will be the new big box home improvement food service provider within Masters stores.

The McDonald’s restaurants will feature the full menu range, McCafe, dining room and a children’s Playland.

Each restaurant will be owned and operated by local franchisees and will provide job opportunities for 50 to 70 local residents in addition to the 130 new jobs created by Masters.

“We’re excited to be able to provide our customers with the complete package destination – a unique shopping experience and a convenient dining opportunity under one roof,” Masters CEO Don Stallings said.

“Whether you’re a tradie needing a hearty breakfast or a home decorator making colour choices over coffee and a pastry, you’ll find it all at Masters.”

Masters is the new store backed by Woolworths and US retailer Lowe’s and is due to open its first store in Braybrook, Victoria in September.
