Marlin Brands Holdings today announced the acquisition of Albi, a leading Australian wholesaler of homeware products, as its growth strategy continues to gain momentum in Australia.
Albi, a wholesaler based in Melbourne, was acquired as from 28 June 2016, with the previous owners and key management retained for a minimum of three years.

Albi is Marlin Brand’s first acquisition in Australia and the business will be used as a platform to expand further in the homewares sector in Australia and New Zealand. Marlin Brands shareholder, Coast2Coast already owns a number of successful consumer brand businesses in South Africa, Spain and Poland.

With offices and its central warehouse in Melbourne, Albi is a leading supplier of homeware, kitchenware and artificial flowers. The company owns and represents more than 35 different brands including its own brands such as Amalfi, Davis&Waddell, Emporium and Rogue. The company also distributes Masterchef, Anna Gare, Tara Dennis and Stephanie Alexander in Australia.
Albi has a very diverse customer base and services more than 3,000 customers with a particular focus on independent retailers.
The company was founded in 1985 and was acquired by David Danziger and Martin Susskind in 2000.
