As some businesses continue the flood clean-up and while others are still going through it, the Australian Retailers Association (ARA) is offering a complimentary three month membership.

The offer is available to flood affected retailers to help deal with their employer obligations and other decisions during this time.

ARA executive director Russell Zimmerman said the offer is not limited to Queensland and will be open to the considerable number of small retailers who have experienced business interruption due to the recent floods across the country.

“The complimentary three month membership will give flood affected small retailers free expert employment relations and tenancy telephone advice. It will also offer access to heavily discounted supplier deals, including shop re-fits, to help get businesses back on their feet sooner,” he said.

“The financial loss for retailers hit by recent floods could include loss of trade due to business interruption, as well as the costs that come along with restocking shelves and replacing damaged shop fit outs.

ARA’s membership benefits include access to a range of products and services to help re-build businesses and increase profitability including: employment relations advice, tenancy advice, ARA publications and communications with up-to-date Government information and heavily discounted retail services from affiliated suppliers.

Flood affected small retailers who are interested in a complimentary three month membership with the ARA should call 1300 368 041 or email floodappeal@retail.org.au by mid February.

Existing ARA members who have been affected by the floods may also be eligible for three months extended membership.
