Online electronics retailer Kogan.com has entered the mobile service space with the launch of Kogan Mobile.

According to Kogan.com CEO and founder Ruslan Kogan said Australians have been paying way too much for too long and Kogan Mobile will change this.

“No one likes to pay more than they expected, and no one likes to get ripped-off, so we’re putting a stop to it,” he said.

“From today, Australians can choose to say goodbye to excess usage charges and will be guaranteed to get what they pay for. No more running out of credit mid-month, no more complicated fine print tricking you into paying more – just $29 per month for unlimited standard calls and text and 6GB of data, or even cheaper if you sign up for a full year!”

It is the first Australian mobile provider to use to be part of the Telstra’s mobile network for prepaid mobile services.

Kogan executive director David Shafer said he expected the news would come as welcome relief for the millions of Australians who have been forced to endure less than satisfactory phone services.

“Kogan Mobile is proud to be the first Australian mobile provider to use part of Telstra’s Mobile Network for prepaid mobile services. We are equally proud to have developed a line of products that will rescue millions of Australians from the confusion and complexity of the Australian mobile industry.”
