ISPT-owned Wintergarden is preparing to open the second stage of its $100 million development.
Located in Brisbane’s Queen Street Mall, Wintergarden’s second stage will open in April 2012 with more than 50 stores, including the main fashion level on ground floor and a 750 seat food court, making it the largest in the CBD.
Wintergarden has also announced that stage two will feature a Queensland first with Spanish footwear brand Camper, opening its first concept store in the state.
Also a first for Queensland, the centre will welcome Coach, introducing the flagship concept store for the renowned U.S leather accessories and fashion brand. Joining Camper and Coach will be Australian design icon Lisa Ho.
International retail powerhouse Brandbank will open two major fashion flagship stores at the new Wintergarden including global fashion house French Connection and a double level Seed, including the woman, child and baby collections – a first for the brand, making it the largest store in Australia.
Stage one of the 13,175 square metre centre is now open with flagship stores including the international crystal house Swarovski, men’s clothing and accessories brand Rodd & Gunn and Australian country outfitter R.M. Williams.
The completed development will be anchored by a contemporary food court introducing some fresh new food outlets to the Brisbane CBD casual dining scene. ISPT has been working with food retail experts ‘POD’ to develop a fresh, new and contemporary food offer to revolutionise the Brisbane city lunch scene.
ISPT development director Chris McCluskey said the Queen Street Mall remains one of the most in-demand retail destinations in Australia, highlighting Wintergarden’s collection of retailers will further boost this image.
“Since Stage One opened in May 2011, Wintergarden has received an overwhelming response from international and Australian fashion retailers. Opportunities remain to become part of one of the most exciting retail openings in Brisbane’s history and is on track to become a powerhouse destination with the opening of stage two in April 2012,” he said.
