Two Melbourne patisserie and coffee spots have secured space at 1 Elizabeth Street in Sydney’s Martin Place, with Industry Beans confirmed to be opening a store next to Lune Croissanterie.

Colliers have brought two of Melbourne’s operators to the heart of Sydney, providing CBD commuters, local workers and visitors with an elevated food and beverage experience.

Industry Beans joins an eclectic mix of dining, bars, and retail as part of the Sydney Metro Martin Place integrated station precinct. Industry Beans, a roastery and cafe, will open its third Sydney store in mid-2024, joining locations in Double Bay and the CBD.

Industry Beans co-founder, Trevor Simmons said, “We’re thrilled to bring Industry Beans passion for sourcing, roasting and brewing great coffee to Martin Place next year. My brother and I grew up as kids in Sydney and have loved being back with Industry Beans.

“With each new site, it will be an evolution of our design and experience.  The offering will be next level with our unique modular coffee bar, refined brunch and even an evening espresso martini menu. Martin Place is such an iconic Sydney location, and we are delighted to be part of the new 1 Elizabeth development.”

The deal for the 56.45 square metre site was secured by Colliers Retail Leasing Executive, Jo Windybank, who was instrumental in transacting the Lune deal at the same precinct.

“Industry Beans is an innovative café brand and coffee aficionado favourite, serving a carefully considered range of food and drinks. Another quality brand joining the 1 Elizabeth retail precinct, set to open mid next year,” she said.

“The incredible calibre of tenants drawn to Metro Martin Place is testament to the high-quality development that is currently under construction. To have two of Melbourne’s premium café experiences in the heart of the CBD shows how high the demand is for space. There are now just a few final spots remaining and they are all expected to be hotly contested.”
