Hewlett-Packard (HP) has appointed Mark Looschilder as the new retail business development manager, Imaging and Printing Group, HP South Pacific.
 
Looschilder and his team will be developing marketing and demand generation campaigns that drive greater awareness, demand and sales for HP’s photo and creative offerings. 
 
“My immediate focus is to work closely with our retail partners on building the creative photo category and driving greater sales of creative photo products,” said Looschilder.
 
“We will also be rolling out training and incentive programs with the aim of rewarding and increasing the knowledge of sales staff empowered with the responsibility of  building what is a fairly newly and evolving category in the printing industry”
 
In addition, he will also be looking to identify the current and prospective retail customers to work with that are best suited to implement HP’s new retail publishing products and solutions in-stores.
 
Looschilder has been working with HP’s Imaging and Printing Group, based in Singapore, for the last six years and the last two years as the marketing manager of HP’s Retail Printing Solutions Group.
 
Additionally, HP has unveiled several new additions to its line of retail photo printing solutions at the Photo Marketing Association (PMA) tradeshow currently held at the Sydney exhibition and convention centre including the new HP Photo Centre 4 software and HP’s Remote Management Solution.
 
Also being showcased at the PMA tradeshow are the latest additions to HP’s retail photo printing line-up including Dry Minilab, the HP Photosmart ML1000 Minilab Printer and the HP Photosmart PM20002 Microlab Printer, which offers the next generation in instant and dry retail photo printing solutions and up to 200 years fade resistant prints.
