The Good Guys, (TGG) has strengthened its management team with the creation of a new senior role reporting to CEO, Michael Ford. The position is chief retail officer within its executive leadership team and Corey Hedin will take it up from May 1.

Hedin knows TGG well and has been working with the retailer for the past five years as a consultant from The ROIG Group. He has provided business management consulting including strategy development and retail execution to some of the largest retailers and suppliers in the world.

Prior to his role as partner at The ROIG Group, Hedin worked for Best Buy, a US$50 billion retailer with over 1,500 big-box retail stores across the US, Canada and Mexico, which had established itself as the leading consumer electronics retailer in the World.

Hedin began his career at Best Buy retail stores on the sales floor, working his way up through management.  At Best Buy corporate office, Hedin held key executive leadership roles in home theater retail sales, operations, merchandising and new business development (including the successful Best Buy Mobile).

In a statement from TGG, the company said that in his new role, Hedin will be a “valued partner and change leader, driving strong performance in the field to support the company’s growth and transformation agenda”.
