Home Timber and Hardware members are celebrating after being recognised at the recent Hardware Association of Queensland (HAQ), Hardware Association of Victoria (HAV) and Hardware Association of South Australia (HASA) Awards.

Hosted in Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide respectively, the annual awards aim to recognise stores and individuals that are excelling across their relevant state’s hardware sectors.

A total of five awards were taken home by Home Timber and Hardware members.

Queensland saw Bowen Home Hardware take out the Retail Store of the Year, while Coopers Home Hardware in Bundaberg Central was awarded Retail Store of the Year.

Home Timber and Hardware stores in Victoria took out Trade Store of the Year with G. Gay & Co, a fourth generation business located in Wendouree, and the Hardware Store of the Year (small category) award with Ocean Grove Hardware, family owned and operated for the past 18 years.

The winning stores are judged based on a range of business criterions including customer excellence, innovation, employer of choice and business strategy.
