Tony Bugg is the head of Licensing Industry Merchandiser's Association (LIMA) and managing director of Bugg Marketing Solutions. A panel of speakers will be representing LIMA at Retail 2012. They will provide you with data on what a brand approach can bring to your business.

RB: Briefly (in one or two points) explain what you'll be speaking about at the Conference?
TB: We as a team under the LIMA banner are exited to have the opportunity to talk to Retailers from around the country about Brand Licensing. Our organisation LIMA was formed as a result of Licensing developing into a multi billion dollar business globally. We want to talk to you about how this can help your businesses here in Australia.

RB: Why do you believe this/these topic(s) are important and relevant to retailers?
TB: The face of retailing is changing on daily basis. Consumers now demand much more from their shopping experience. Brands and the extension of brands can enhance this experience by adding a level of excitement. This in turn encourages people to consider a purchase because they want to be associated with the excitement surrounding the brand!

RB: Can you provide comment about the current state of the Australian retail sector and ONE tip you'd give to retailers.
TB: Australian retail is coming to terms with daily changes in the consumers purchasing habits. Retailers need to keep an open mind and devote time to understanding these changes. Look towards Brand Licensing as part of the solution to sustaining your business!
