Gerry Harvey has invested in a new stationery chain, Ofis, which recently opened its first store in Sydney, as reported on www.news.com.au
The 1500sqm superstore, located on Paramatta Road, has about 30 staff and about 7500 stationery and 2500 IT products in four categories: print-shop, stationery, IT and office furniture. An online version of the store is set to be available within a few months.
With the home office market still growing, customer demand has been strong since the opening of the new store, according to Ofis general manager Paul English.
The company is aiming to open at least eight to 10 stores this year, including one in Maitland (June) and one in Cambridge Park outside of Hobart (July), and 10 the year after.
