Gelatissimo has launched two new store formats – Galleria Del Gelato and Coppe Del Gelato Sundae Bars – to allow customers to immerse themselves into the gelato experience.

The Galleria Del Gelato will feature the machinery involved in the gelato making process on show through a glass viewing window. Customers will be able to see all aspects of the gelato making process; mixing, measuring, pouring ingredients into the gelato making machine, extracting the fresh gelato and garnishing it for presentation.

Meanwhile, Gelatissimo Coppe Gelato will have an eat-in offering for patrons to enable them to enjoy Coppe Gelato sundaes (Italian-style sundaes).

“Through the introduction of the Galleria Del Gelato and Coppe Gelato Sundaes, our gelaterias are now engaging destinations where customers can immerse themselves in the world of an artisan gelato maker,” Domenico Lopresti, Gelatissimo joint CEO, said.

“This visual presentation will heighten the authentic Italian experience customers have when they taste freshly made gelato created from scratch.”

The concept will be launched at the new location of Norwood, South Australia and the refurbished location of Burwood, New South Wales.

To heighten the customer experience, where space permits, future Gelatissimo gelaterias will feature Galleria Del Gelato and Sundae Bar areas with the new concept to be rolled out next in both Broadway (NSW) and Mackay (QLD) gelaterias, opening in October 2013 and in an exciting new international territory opening in November 2013.
